They are a rare drop. `RARE`, ok some people are lucky and some are not. For every guy that got the drop on first turn many others didn`t get the drop the few times they killed the boss. In fact if they were close to getting the drop they were teased by getting a gold scroll or even a blue scroll, the green is three to four times harder to be awarded and then some greens drop even less chance than others.

I thought everyone knew heroes and henchies got drops but then I forget that there are always new players (welcome and enjoy).

I play a lot, too much truth be known, my green drops are few but I reckon I got my share. Seemed too few to begin with, just a couple of max and too many non max from starter island after playing many hours on all chars. Then about a month ago and not during a green weekend obtained 5 max greens within 3 days over 2 campaigns. I had to double check it wasn`t still green weekend!

Anyway I prefer a good gold myself and will be chest raiding this weekend. gl all.

Really really unlucky if your estimate of 3-4 hundred bosses is near accurate. For greens that are popular, it's likely rarer, since the game takes farming into account when factoring in drops.

To continue this discussion I believe we must answer the quest "Is a green a blessing from God or a right to all?".

Just as an added comment, when Nightfall came out, I was at 180 elite skills.
I got all of the rest fairly quickly.
In killing an extra 111 bosses, as well as many incidental ones on the way, I got 1 green drop, and that was on the very last skill cap boss I killed (well, last but one; Ebon Dust Aura wasn't available back then ).
BUT, I did kill these bosses with a full group of heroes and henchies, and didn't think to send them away before the bosses died.
Let alone which, I was only killing these bosses once in general, in order to get their elite skill.

Just playing through the story without taking time to do extensive exploring, you've probably only killed 30 bosses tops...(aside from mission bosses). There isn't even 200 bosses in Elona let alone 3-4 hundred... so unless you killed every boss you could possibly find multiple times, you're full of crap.

Given that you're full of crap, bosses don't drop their green everytime, and when they do, it's assigned to a random member of the party. If that member was a henchmen, you don't see the drop.
good point
